Hi Josie,
I have posted your message about the course and would recommend this course to anyone who would like to complement their knowledge of Toe/Foot Reading.
This course should also be of interest to other therapists or parents.

Dear Anthony,
Hope you are well. I wanted to ask you: Is there any chance that you can let especially Reflexologists know that the Toe reading course presented by Imre and Margriet SOMOGYI, the Dutch Toe Reader Couple now living in France, is taking place on 22nd & 23rd May 2010 in The Prince of Wales Hotel, Athlone. Participants will receive a Certificate at the end of the weekend course.
We have established an Irish Toe Reading website: http://www.toereading.weebly.com. All details are on the website.
Many thanks and kind regards,

Hi Sonya,
Thanks for your kind words and input.
Normally, as you know, I never recommend reflexology where there is in-diagnosed internal bleeding, however, in your father's situation, taking into account he is also on Warfarin and he is bleeding intermittently and has a diagnosis, I would personally advise you to only give him a complete very light treatment - ensuring all reflexes are worked on. Also remember that although reflexology can improve circulation, it does not increase circulation, in this case BLEEDING - there is a very fine line here! Reflexology is non-medical and we do not treat specific illnesses or any condition in isolation.
If there was a danger to applying pressure to the reflexes, then his doctor would literally request him not to walk on uneven surfaces as doing so could cause or exacerbate the bleeding, this is where such contra-indications are ridiculous.
Similarly, pregnant women would be aborting by walking on pebbles on a beach! I do not think you have overworked the areas - err on the side of safety! Knowing you personally, I trust your instincts and expertise. The main contra-indication in Reflexology is" never treat if you don't want to"

Hi Anthony, loving the new site, have a question about diverticulitis. I was treating my father for a week everyday for severe bleeding in the stool. He was diagnosed with Diverticulitis 3 months ago. since then he has experienced bleeding at intervals of 2 weeks and the episodes last at least 2 to 3 days. he is on various homeopathic meds to strenghten digestive system and veins. It must also be noted that he is on warfarin and other blood thinners as he has an artificial heart valve. I noticed particular sensetivity in the sigmoid colon area and the acending colon. As the week progressed the pain and the sensetivity had lessend, however the bleeding has lasted a the whole week. any ideas? have I over worked the areas? would appreciate any help. thanks
